We are inviting Microbiological or Biomedical researchers, clinicians, biosafety practitioners and professionals who wish to share their experiences and expertise to submit the abstract for oral/poster presentation at the conference.
The topic of poster should be relevant to the conference theme, “Asia-Pacific Biosafety: Moving Towards One World One Health”.
The abstract for Poster presentation submission deadline is 10 April 2012. Selected abstracts will be printed in the conference program booklet. The Oral Presentation is CLOSED for submission.
GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACT FOR ORAL/POSTER PRESENTATION
Each registrant may submit one abstract of his or her presentation during the conference.
Only those abstracts that have been reviewed and selected by the Scientific Program committee may be presented.
Abstract submissions will only be accepted electronically through the abstract submission service provided in APBA website.
Please take note that all abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific committee. They will decide on the final acceptance for either oral or poster presentation for each abstract. All registrants will be advised accordingly by 30 March 2012.
Up to 5 oral presentations will be accepted for the oral presentation (15 minutes). The Oral Presentation is CLOSED for submission.
ABSTRACT FORMAT
All abstracts must be in ENGLISH, the combined length of the abstract title, list of authors, and body should not exceed 500 words and double spaced in Arial 12 font size. Please be sure to carefully check your abstract for content errors, spelling, names, etc. before submitting. APBA does not proofread for or correct spelling, typographical, grammatical, or scientific errors, nor can changes be made once the abstract is submitted.
Each abstract should contain: (a) an introductory sentence indicating the objective of the abstract (c) main content and (d) conclusions. It is expected that the abstract will include the summary of the original presentation.
TITLE It should be brief and indicative of the content of the abstract.
AUTHORS’ NAMES
Authors should be listed by surname (underline) and initials, with the presenting author’s name marked with an asterisk (*).
DESIGNATION & ORGANIZATION NAME
Immediately following the authors’ names.
Organization/Institute, department, city, state, country of author.
ABBREVIATIONS
Standard abbreviations may be used for common terms only. For uncommon terms, the abbreviations should be given in brackets after the first full use of the word.

Abstracts must be submitted through email to secretary@a-pba.org as Microsoft Word attachment.

• The Organizing Committee reserves the right to amend or change any part of the submission guidelines without prior notice.
POSTER PRESENTATION
REQUIREMENTS • Prepare and bring with you to the conference all components of your poster. • The poster must include a heading panel as shown in the diagram below. • Velcro tape will be available for mounting your poster on the display panel.
